Thanks is extended to Father Mark Bennett for celebrating Mass in Drumsna on Sunday last and to our musician Kate O Reilly .Bingo
Bingo continues on Thursday night in the community centre with doors open at 8pm and eyes down at 8.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
Golden Age .
There will be a meeting of the above this week with rehearsals continuing for our short drama at the “ May Madness Ball , which will be held in the Bush hotel, Carrick with music and dancing to the one and only Pat Mulchrone, finger food, and of course our much awaited drama “ The last Rose of Summer” . Twelve beautiful talented ladies compete for the title which is based on the well know “ Rose of Tralee” competition. There is an elite panel of distinguished judges with a very hard decision to make as the ladies sing dance and strut their stuff . This is not a night to be missed as it will be a one off with the winner keeping the title for posterity. Come along and enjoy the craic while the Escorts wait in the wings.
Annaduff 50/50
The weekly Annaduff GAA/LGFA was held in Duignan’s Bar, Drumsna on Friday last with Sean Mc Gowan winning €1,000 and Shirley O Sullivan winning seven free tickets into next weeks draw. Congratulations to both of them.
Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to Jean Ferguson and Family, Bray Co. Wicklow on the death of her husband, Stanley . The late Stanley who was predeceased by his brothers Keith, Cecil,Artie and David was a resident of Drumsna together with his parents and brothers having lived on Main Street for many years ( the late Maureen Quigley House ) . A gathering took place at Colliers Funeral Home, Bray on Tuesday last with funeral service taking place today , Wednesday in Dunlaoghaire Methodist Church.

Congratulations to Fionnuala Maxwell who is performing at an evening of music and song at the Irish American heritage centre, Chicago and Chicago Gaelic Park. Fionnuala who is an Ireland champion singer/ songwriter will headline a concert celebrating Irish song as well as workshops where attendees will learn traditional Irish songs and Irish siting techniques. Fionnuala is always a great Ambassador for out County through music and song and we wish her well on her trip to Chicago.
