An appreciation.

Drumsna C.C.E. are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our staunchest members, Tommy Mc Loughlin, The Three Flowers Bar ,Main Street, Drumsna. Tommy followed on the tradition instigated by his late father Thomas James Mc Loughlin ( The Butcher ) who was a founder member of Drumsna Comhalthas. Even though Tommy didn’t play an instrument himself he loved the Irish Traditional music and he instilled a love of it in his daughters and Grandchildren. Together with his wife Teasie they hosted many cultural events including Fleadhs ,wren boys, The Bard Of Breffni and youth sessions. Mc Loughlins was the place where all of our Comhalthas Branch meetings were held and Tommy was always a genial host. The Monday night sessions were legendary and were attended by musicians, singers and dancers from all over the Country as well as the locals. We in Drumsna C.C.E. would like to express our deepest sympathy to Teasie, Tanya ,Tamara and Tamsin and extended family members.

Ar Dheis De go raibh a Anam.
