Hello Friends , Another week gone by and we are now in the middle of November. I hope that there will be some sort of safe lowering of level 5 when December comes in and that we will be able to enjoy Christmas with our loved ones, and that our Masses will come back. Stay safe and keep in touch.

Light up Leitrim.

Light up Leitrim every Friday evening by putting a candle or tealight safely in your window for  those who are fighting covid 19 for those who have lost their lives and to honour our heroic heroes the doctors ,nurses and all workers on the front line. May God bless them .

Annaduff G.A.A, 50/50 Draw.

The weekly Annaduff G.A.A. 50/50 draw took place at the Lordly River Shannon in Drumsna on Sunday evening last with James Faughnan  presiding and Micheal O’ Dowd pulling the winning ticket  number 83. The prize money was 260 Euro and the lucky winners were Connie and Paul Morrison . Congratulations to them both and thanks is extended to all involved . Remember the draw now takes place at 4pm due to the darker evenings and will be in Drumsna for the next few weeks to accommodate Judge Faughnan who is adhering to the distance guidelines.

If you are living with a long term health condition, this is a six week online programme delivered in 2-5 hour weekly sessions where you learn new skills to manage your health condition on a day to day basis. More now than ever it is important to look after our mental and physical health. Please note that you do not have to disclose your condition on the programme. Drumsna Comhaltas.

The A.G.M. of Drumsna C.C.E. was held on October 28th 2020. The following officers were elected. Chairperson Sinead Guckian; Secretary Edwina Guckian; Treasurer Fionnuala Maxwell ; Youth officers Eadaoin Lee, Catherine Cullen; Auditors Conor Ward , Antoinette Mc Guinness ; Delegates to the County Board Brian Mostyn, Conor Ward ; D&P Fionnuala Maxwell ; P.R.O s Clare Bohan , Colleen Guckian. 2020 membership is now due and can be paid online or by contacting any committee member.   The member’s new Treoir magazine can be got in the tourist telephone kiosk in Drumsna.

Facebook page to keep up with our countdown to Christmas -where we will be sharing a tutorial video each week from a special guest in the run up to Christmas, to teach you a tune, song or dance step each week. Brian Mostyn was the first guest to kick start the programme with James Kean’s Jig on the accordian , a nice simple tune to get you started. Videos will also be shared on Drumsna  Comhalthas you tube channel for those who are not on face book. Remember music , song and dance are a wonderful way to express ourselves and we need to keep our spirits up in the midst of this pandemic.
