Church News

The Church in Drumsna will be open each morning until evening. Sunday Mass in Annaduff  at 11am Mass  in The Church of the Immaculate Conception Drumsna  on Thursday Morning  at 10am . Social Distancing applies and Holy Communion is to be taken into the hand only. There is seating for 36  in Drumsna Church and a loudspeaker outside for anyone wishing to sit in their car. Holy Communion will be brought out to these people, just let the ushers know.  There will be a basket at the door of the Church in Drumsna where the Sunday dues can be placed, Please wear a face covering. These Mass times are up for review at the moment .As most of our Ministers of the Word here in Drumsna are at work on a Thursday morning we would be grateful if those that are available would  please give in their name to Colleen. Thanks is extended to Father Francis Seamus O’ Rourke who celebrated Mass with us here on Thursday last. If you need to book an Anniversary Mass etc., contact Father Wall at 087 2358960 and he will pass on the name to the relevant priest.

Hello Friends , I hope that each and every one of you  is safe and still adhering to the guidelines. We are doing our best to keep it at bay here in Leitrim .  With everything that is going on and the rise in Cases of covid 19 we may not meet for a while. The rules seem to change each week and over seventies are advised once again to limit their contact.  In the meantime stay safe , Keep in touch with other by phone, wear your mask,  keep your hands sanitized and away from your face and stay social distanced.

Annaduff G. A.A.

Annaduff G. A. A. club have launched a weekly 50/50 draw fundraiser. Each 50/50 entry costs two Euro or three entries for five Euro.  Play online at Annaduff  g.a.a.iefifty  last Sunday ‘s draw was  held at Drumcree Joinery  and the winning ticket no. 212 was pulled out by Raymond Mc Hugh Proprietor.  The winner was  Sophie Russell the new born daughter of Eveline and John Russell The prize money was 234 Euro .Congratulations to Baby Sophie and to Evie and John  .  The venue for the next draw on Sunday next October 11th is  Austin Garvey Plant Hire, Drumsna ,Thanks to James ,Kevin, Barry , Sinead and to Mel Rowley who kept a weather eye on the proceedings in the live draw. Remember if you are not in you can’t win. Good luck Annaduff in the Final on this Saturday October10th. Come on lads you can do it.

Drumsna C.C.E.

On Friday October 22nd we are calling on the North West and beyond to swap their beds for sleeping bags for one night only by taking part in the virtual sleep out for NWS community. While we may not be able to come together in person this year we are calling on friends ,family, colleagues, and team mates to join us virtually ,giving up your usual comforts to spend the night in a unique and powerful way whilst supporting those facing homelessness in the North West. This year now more than ever we need your support as we have had to cancel all our community fund raising efforts which account for 80% 0f the charity income. Sympathy.

Sympathy is extended to Roz and Trevor Webb on the death of Roz’s brother Mick Ballard , The following is a note from Roz; I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and messages regarding the passing of my brother Mick Ballard, Annaduff Glebe. After a long illness he passed away peacefully in the North West Hospice on September 25th. A big hole in our lives but many happy memories, Roz and Trev Webb, Annaduff Glebe, Drumsna.
