Bingo continues in Drumsna on Thursday night January 16th at 8.30pm. The new look Bingo has finished with the lucky coloured sheet, and introduced an extra new single sheet at 2 Euro with a jackpot on this sheet on 45 calls or less, jackpot goes up 10 Euro each week and for week Thursday 16th January is now 320 Euro. books remain the same double 10 Euro, single 6 Euro half book 3 Euro. Bingo is an important social outlet in our rural community and a friendly welcome awaits you in a cosy environment so come along and meet the neighbours and enjoy the chat. Social Dancing

Social Dancing takes place in Fitzpatrick’s Lounge ,Mohill on Sunday night January 19th with music by Eugene Cunningham. All Welcome.

Drumsna Tidy town Meeting

The first meeting of the above for 2020 took place in the Centre on Wednesday evening. The Chairperson Patricia O’ Reilly welcomed everyone back after the festivities and congratulated all involved in the Christmas Decorations, Crib, Carol singing, the Christmas Markets and the Tidy towns Annual Christmas draw. It was decided at this meeting to hold a heritage day in the village on Sunday June 14th 2020. Each member was asked to bring ideas for the success of this venture to the next meeting. If you would like to get involved or can help out in any way ,your thoughts would be most welcome. Meetings are held in the Centre Drumsna On the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm and all are welcome.


Elaine’s Pilates classes are starting on Wednesday January 15 at 8pm. In the Drumsna Community Centre for six weeks at a cost of 50 Euro for the course. Call 086 2153917 to book your place.

Church Gate Collection.

The Annual Church Gate Collection for the Ardagh and Clonmacnoise Lourdes sick pilgrim fund takes place on Saturday/Sunday January 18/19th . Money collected is used to subsidise the cost of bringing sick people from our Parish to Lourdes. Please contribute generously.

G.A.A./ Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the G.A.A./ Parish draw held in Taylor’s Bar, Drumsna on Sunday night last . The numbers drawn were 7,12,22,24 . The winner of the fifty Euro prize was Nigel Cox. The winners of the lucky dip are as follows Jim and B. Bohan, Martina Mc Garry, Peter Beirne’s Grandchildren, Rachel and Mel Lavin . The next draw is in Cox’s Steak House ,Dromod  with a jackpot of 4,700 Euro. If you are not in you cant win.
