The Diocese of Ardagh and Clonmacnoise are holding an assembly of the 41 Parishes in May of 2020 to consider how best the Parishes can move forward. We want to hear the experience and views of the people on the ground, whether you attend Church or not. We would like to hear what life is like for you and whether there is anything that you would change, hope for or expect from the Church. The first meeting of representatives from the 41 Parishes took place in St. Mel’s College Longford on Saturday last . “ members from each end of the Parish of Annaduff together with Father John Wall attended in conjunction with Fr. Gerry O’ Brien and the Bornacoola representatives. This Assembly is taking place at the instigation of Bishop Francis Duffy. You as a Parishioner are asked to give your view on what you think should or should not be done. Young and old are invited to write down their thoughts and hand them in to Father Wall or any Assembly/ Parish Council member.

Golden Age Meeting.
The Golden Age group are back on to our normal schedule for the Autumn Season. On Wednesday (today)September 18th we are off on our outing to Beleek Castle from Drumsna church at 10.30am, The tour of the Castle will be at 2pm and lasts approximately one hour. We then go to the National Hotel Ballina for a meal. We have a packed programme for the coming months and if you would like to join us at the Community centre Drumsna on every second Wednesday at 11am ,please feel free to do so. Just come along and you will be made very welcome.
There will be a Culture night of music, song , dance and session hosted by Drumsna C.C. E. in the Community Centre , Quay Street, Drumsna on Friday night September 20thfrom 7pm until 9pm, featuring the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil Medalists. This is a free event and all musicians ,singers, dancers of all ages are welcome to join us. This night of traditional culture is brought to you by The Department of Culture Heritage, the Gaeltacht and the creative Ireland programme in partnership with Leitrim County Council.Come along for a wonderful experience.

Sympathy is extended to Marie Duignan Summerhill ,Carrick-on-Shannon and late of Annaduff on the death of her husband Paddy Duignan, also to his sons daughters, grandchildren , brother, sisters . sisters -in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces ,nephews, relatives and friends. The late Paddy was interred in St. Mary;s Carrick-on-Shannon after his funeral Mass on Tuesday.
