Golden Age

Thanks is extended to everyone who attended our May Madness ball in The Bush Hotel last week. Thanks also to our members who took part in the short drama, to Jimmy Lennon for the music to The Bush Hotel and staff for their wonderful care and courtesy to our group, to Willie Donellon for the photos and to all who helped out in any way. Our Christmas party will be in The Bush Hotel on Sunday December 1st.Next meeting is on Wednesday May15th at 11am in the Centre Drumsna.

Job seeking skills.

County Leitrim Job Club will be running a job seeking skills course in the Education Centre , Carrick-on-Shannon starting Monday May 13thfrom 10an until 1pm each day and running for four weeks. This is a free course for job skills, it also includes a customer care module and certified manual handling. St Pio Healing Mass.

You are warmly invited by our Pastoral Council and community to join with us for our Annual Padre Pio Healing Mass in St. Patrick’s Church Ballinamore at 7pm on Thursday May 30th. Mass will be celebrated by Brother Bryan Shortall, Capuchin Brother from Dublin. There will be Capuchin Friars present with relics of St. Pio for individual blessings after Mass. Everyone is welcome.


Leitrim County Fleadh 2019

Drumsna Comhaltas committee, Sinead Guckian, Conor Ward, Fionnuala Maxwell, Clare Bohan, John Tuohy, Mary Bohan, Colleen Guckian, Tommy and Teasie McLoughlin, would like to extend a huge ‘go raibh míle’ to a number of people who made Fleadh Liatroma such an enjoyable experience this year. To the committee and staff of Drumsna Community Resource Centre and Vincent Tighe and staff of Annaduff National School for the use of two wonderful facilities over the weekend- thank you. Thanks to Leitrim County Council for their sponsorship. To the Taylor, Duignan and McLoughlin families for hosting musicians and competitions- thank you. To all musicians, singers and dancers who kept us entertained over the weekend- we are so grateful. To Mary and Brian Mostyn, the parents and kids who made their ‘thank you for the music night’ so special and Frankie Smith, Nuala Branagan, Noel Mostyn and Leona Buggy who assisted with research – you made a night to remember! To all who ensured that competitions ran so smoothly – Mary Bohan, Patricia O Reilly, Aisling O Boyle, Annemarie O Reilly, Dearbhla Noone, Dympna Butler, Christena McDermott, Eleanor McDermott, Emer Butler, Eileen Scott and for looking after us so well, Carmel Earley – we are hugely grateful. And not forgetting those on outside duty, Gerry O Reilly and Bernie Bohan- thanks so much.
