Golden Age May Madness Ball.

The Annual Golden Age May Madness Ball takes place in the Bush Hotel onWednesday night next May 1st at 8.30pm with light refreshments, Drama and dancing to Jimmy Lennon. Admission is 10 Euro and everyone is welcome.

The 8thCounty Leitrim Fleadh to be hosted by Drumsna C.C.E was a great success with great nights and days of singing dancing and song. The competitions were well attended and much credit is due to the committee who left no stone unturned to make the weekend a success. Thanks is extended to all the sponsors ,advertisers, Judges, and the many helping hands. Good luck to all competitors who are heading to the Connaught Fleadh.

Drumsna Boxing Club.

Drumsna Boxing club is once again making headlines with Caoimhe Moran becoming girls 5.75 Connaught Champion at the Provincial Championships in Castlerea. Caoimhe has been a member of the club for the past three years and now progresses to the All Ireland where we wish her and her coaches every success.

Sympathy.

In accordance with the wishes of John Darlington, he was cremated in a private service on Monday last . On Thursday of this week ,May 2ndDuignan’s Lounge Drumsna will be open from 3pm until 6pm for anyone who would like to pay respects and offer condolences. A collection box for the North West Hospice will be available should you wish to donate as they gave John great comfort and care in his final days.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Gloria and his many friends in the area.

May his soul rest in peace.

Birdwatch Ireland.

The local branch of Birdwatch Ireland is going on it’s Annual cuckoo walk to Loughtown lake, Effrinagh on Sunday next May 5that 10am ,meeting at Garvey’s Garage outside of Drumsna on the Kilnagross Road.Walkers should wear waterproof footwear, children welcome but no dogs please.
