Church New

There will be Mass and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in Drumsna Church on Friday March 15th at 7pm.Holy Hour duty  Ella Gannon.

At the end of Lent on Good Friday April 19th, The Passion of our Lord will be enacted in the village from Garvey’s corner up the hill to the Church. Fourteen Children will stand as the Stations of the Cross while Fr. Wall P.P. celebrates the Passion. Parishioners are invited to take part also any one who has suffered a bereavement is invited to help Jesus carry the cross between Stations.

9.30am Mass on Sunday March 17th,St. Patrick’s day is for deceased members of Drumsna Comhaltas and will be a traditional ,singing ,dancing celebration of our National Saint, Reader ,Teasie Mc Loughlin, Ministers Patricia O’ Reilly, Colleen Guckian.

First Confession/ Confirmation.

First Confession for the First Communion class in Annaduff National School takes place on Thursday March 14that 7pm in St. Mary’s church Annaduff.

Confirmation in St. Mary’s Church takes place on Friday March 22ndat 4pm.

Bingo

Bingo takes place in Drumsna on Thursday March 14th at 8 30pm. Last week’s winners include Maria Guihan, Linda Duignan, Geraldine Bohan, Patricia Beirne. Free books for Thursday March 14thRose Mulvihill, Gerry O’ Reilly.

Golden Age,

A meeting of the above will take place in the Centre Drumsna on Wednesday next March 20thThere will be drama practise for all those taking part. Our Annual Holiday this year is from Sunday  June 16th until Friday June 21stin The Galway Bay Hotel ,Salthill , Co. Galway and price includes 5 B&B and 5 evening dinners, entertainment ,coach to and from Salthill. There are optional tours and entertainment also. County Leitrim Fleadh.

Once again the lovely village of Drumsna is hosting the County Leitrim Fleadh on the weekend of April 26,27,28. Along with the usual competitions and sessions a special Fleadh Mass will take place in The Church of The Immaculate Conception, Drumsna on the Sunday morning of April 28thwhere we will be joined by many of the competitors. On Sunday March 24ththere will be a youth session in The Community centre Drumsna , of music ,song and dance, from 12 30 to 2 30 a taster for what is to come at the Fleadh and also preliminary registration for the Fleadh.

St. Patrick’s Evening Session.

There will be an evening session of music ,song and dance for young and old in Mc Loughlin’s Bar Drumsna on St. Patrick’s day from 6pm until 8pm. This is an informal get together for all and is not a fundraiser, we would like to thank all those who have supported Drumsna C.C.E. down through the years and hope they will come along and enjoy the ‘craic’.

G.A.A./ Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the G.A.A./ Parish Lotto held in Mc Loughlin’s Drumsna on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 5,14,21,22. The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Colleen Blessing. The winners of the lucky dip are as follows, Meave Cronin, Mel and Rachel Lavin, Eunan Lynch, John Connor. The next draw is in The Brandywell, Dromod with a jackpot of “,400 Euro.
