Sean Nos dance with Edwina and Airc Damhsa in St. Mary’s hall Carrick on Shannon on Thursday for beginners, children 6pm, teenagers 7.30pm.

Set dancing for adults starts in St. Joseph’s Hall Leitrim village on Wednesday nights at 8.30pm.Beginners and advanced.

Youth reach Leitrim

Youth reach Leitrim has enrolment for 2018/2019 for 15 to 20 yrs. Are you an early school leaver/ unemployed? Youth Reach Leitrim is based in Mohill and will offer a flexible and dynamic programme of Leaving Cert applied integrated and general education, vocational training and work experience. Students can also apply for a weekly training allowance and travel subsistence. Contact the co-ordinater at 085 1458878 for more details.

Tommy Fleming Concert.

All roads lead to St. Patrick’s Church, Mohill on Friday November 30that 8.30pm for the Tommy Fleming Concert. Admission by ticket only. Tickets @ 30 Euro each can be got at Mulveys Carrick, Pauls of Mohill and Ballinamore Post Office. A great night’s entertainment is guaranteed.

Drumsna C.C.E. A.G.M.

Drumsna Comhaltas are holding their A.G.M.  Mc Loughlin’s Drumsna on this Friday night November 23rdat 9pm. As Drumsna C.C.E. will be hosting the Leitrim County Fleadh in 2019 it would be great to see new and existing members in attendance, also due to new data protection policies anyone who wishes to renew membership or become a member this year has to fill out a registration form which will be available on Friday night or from Fionnuala Maxwell at 086 8664639 or finnmax99@gmail,com ,apart from becoming part of the biggest group to preserve and promote traditional music in Ireland and abroad , membership fees cover insurance for members at Comhaltas events and classes and also reduce Fleadh entry fees. Fees are as follows Families 20 Euro, senior members 12 Euro and junior members 6 Euro. With the upcoming Fleadh on the horizon we would love to get a few music events up and going in the area over the next few months, so we look forward to seeing some new faces with new ideas on Friday night next.

There was no winner of the G.A.A./ Parish lotto held in Taylors bar Drumsna on Sunday night last .The numbers drawn were 12 ;13; 15; 21, The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Jason Faughnan ,the winners of the lucky dip are as follows Ann Walsh, Mickey Mc Nabola( Annual ticket),Thomas P. Faughnan Corduff, Carmel Bourne. the next draw is in the Brandy well Dromod with a jackpot of 1,500 Euro.
