Golden Age meeting.

There will be a Golden Age meeting in the Centre to-day ( Wednesday September 5th) at 11am. All members are requested to attend.

Social Dancing.

There will be Social dancing in Fitzpatrick’s Lounge, Mohill on Sunday night next September 9thwith Music by Mark Finn.

Lough Derg.

The Annual Day Retreat to Lough Derg takes place on Saturday week, September 8th2018 Bookings with a deposit of 45 Euro (which will be forwarded to Lough Derg in advance) to Maura at 071 96 24540. There is no fasting required on the day.

Adult Courses. Drumshanbo.

Drumshanbo PLC and adult full time courses QQ1 level 5 and 6 commence in The Enterprise Centre, Drumshanbo in September. The following courses are to be ad, Business it level 6, Tourism Level 5,  Retail studies level 5, and traditional music level 5. Learners may get up to 390 points If they successfully complete the course. There is option to repeat the leaving Cert, subjects while doing the PLC also. Third level maintenance grants are paid to eligible students. There is an additional information session on Friday September 7thabout the courses in the Enterprise Centre or alternatively ring the school to arrange a meeting with any of the teachers involved at 071 9641085.

Back to school

Good luck to all the children starting National school this week ,a big step up from playschool, also to the children who have left National school and gone on to Secondary where they will make new friends and meet new teachers. Not forgetting those who are making the next step on to third level Education ,a huge step into the big wide world of lectures more new friends and being away from home.Enjoy.

Childcare Assistant.

Childcare Assistant Community Employment vacancies with Leitrim Development Company CE programme .The duties will include working for 5 hours with children of different ages, supporting each child’s individual skills, linking with parents and developing exciting and stimulating weekly plans for the children alongside staff. Participants will be required to attend QQ1 training during their time on the CE placement. Eligible candidates must be over 21 years of age and in receipt of social welfare payment. Interested candidates should contact their local DEASP employment Service/intreo office to check their eligibility and then will be transferred to Leitrim Development Company for processing.
