40th Jubilee of Priesthood.
Our Parish Priest Father John Wall will be celebrating 40 years in the priesthood in early June and to mark the occasion the two Churches, Drumsna and Annaduff will be having special Masses on Sunday June 3rd. In Drumsna we have a traditional Irish Mass with singer Imelda Gaffney, Dancer/Musician Edwina Guckian and a host of Irish musicians and Dancers, In Annaduff the renowned Annaduff Choir will perform. Immediately after Drumsna Mass Father John will sit for approximately 15 minutes and Parishioners young and old will have the opportunity to come up to the altar and congratulate him . There will be a basket to leave your cards etc., for him to enjoy at his leisure .

Jamestown Heritage Festival.
In conjunction with Jamestown Heritage Festival/ Boat Rally, Drumsna will be hosting the following events, Sunday May 27th from 6pm until 8pm approximately Traditional Music song and Dance at The Quay Street corner with M.C. All Ireland Ballad singer Fionnuala Maxwell , dancers from World champion Edwina Guckian’s Dance School ,Mary and Brian Mostyn, children from Lorna Baker-Kenny school of music and a host of traditional musicians and singers. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the session.
If you have some energy to spare after the session there will be a more gentle mode of social dancing in Duignan’s Lounge from 10pm with dancing to The Drifting Cowboy.
On Saturday June 2nd there will be a heritage day in Drumsna commencing at 2.30pm. with a children’s Treasure Hunt hosted by John Darlington and a guided historical tour of the village with Noel Duignan including history coming to life with re-enactments of various famous characters from the past.You will meet Michael Davitt, Thomas Heazle Park , Robert Srawbridge,The Sisters from Mount Campbell, Anthony Trollope, Father George Gearty, The Mc Keons from Belmount and mch more.There will be food on the street all day. You could pick up a bargain at the stalls at Drumsna Community Centre and at 4pm come along to Jim Gannon’s work shop and enjoy the display of vintage cars, by- gone inventions, watch how butter is made with Ella Gannon, how the famous Leitrim Boxty is made with Rose Keegan and how hay ropes were coiled with Gerry O’ Reilly and much more.There will also be free face painting for children with Patricia,
And from 6pm until 6 30 pm Street entertainer Monsieur Gusto will join us for fun and games .
Gaelic for Mothers and Others.
Following in the great success of forming a Gaelic football team for mothers and others in the Parish last year we are currently recruiting ladies to join our merry bunch. it does not matter if you never kicked a ball before as the emphasis of this team is not skill but fun, craic, laughter and a little gentle exercise as well as the social aspect. We will be taking registration on Wednesday May 23rd at 7.30pm until 8pm and on Saturday May 26th at 10am until 11am in Annaduff Community Centre. Reg. Is 20 Euro plus 20 Euro Insurance (optional)
