Traditional Youth Session

There will be a traditional session of music for  all young people who are interested in music ( or Song) in Mc Loughlin’s Drumsna on this Friday night January 20th from 8pm. until 10 pm. Everyone is welcome and this session will continue on the  third Friday of each month for the foreseeable future.Drumsna C.C.E. has the largest number of members in the County and is hear. Older musicians and an audience are also very welcome.

Social Dancing.

There will be social dancing in Duignan’s Drumsna on Friday night January 20th with music by Country Shadow and in Fitzpatrick’s Mohill on Sunday night January 22nd with music by Gerry Keenan.
G.A.A./ Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the G.A.A. / Parish Lotto held in Taylor’s Drumsna onSunday night last. The numbers drawn were 2 ; 6 ; 15 ;20. The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Tommy Mc Loughlin, The winners of the lucky dip are as follows Hugh Moylan, Damien Moylan, Muireann Cox, Deborah and Jamie Hanify. The next draw is in The Brandywell , Dromod  with a jackpot of 3,400 Euro.

Sliabh an Iarann Players.

The Mohil based Sliabh an Iarann players under the direction of Frank Cadam will once again take to the stage in 2017 with more top class drama. We would like to invite anyone interested in being part of a successful Drama group or anyone interested in learning a craft, how to act ,design sets, lighting sound and everything else that goes into staging a  successful production to join us for the coming year.

Drama helps build your confidence and gives you the chance to meet some great people. Our aim is to provide top class drama combined with good comerardrie for everyone involved. The death has taken  place recently of Mary Lock in Brighton England. The late Mary K. ( Nee Reynolds of Gortnagullion Keshcarrigan ) is survived by her sorrowing husband Richard,  Son Richard , Daughter Sarah, grandchildren relatives and a large circle of friends both here and in England.

May her soul rest in Peace . Amen.

Golden Age Meeting.

Golden age meetings  resume on this day week Wednesday January 25th at 11am in the Centre Dumsna. Amongst the items on the Agenda for the coming months will be our Annual Holiday , the Bealtaine festival and our May Madness Ball in The Bush Hotel on Tuesday May 2nd . with dancing to Jambalya .
