Social Dancing

There will be Social dancing  in  Duignan’s Lounge  Drumsna on Friday March 18th with music by The Drifting cowboy, and  in  Fitzpatrick’s Lounge Mohill  on St. Patrick’s night with music by  Michael Moran and on Sunday night March 20th with music by Glenside Country.

Golden Age Meeting.

The Golden Age  Bealtaine ‘’May Madness Ball’’which will be in the Bush hotel on Tuesday May 17th with music by The Drifting Cowboy. All welcome. The Annual Golden Age holiday this year is to The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney  from Sunday May 22nd to Friday May 27th We will travel by bus to Roscommom Station and then by by train to Killarney. The local bus link from Ballinamore via Drumsna to Carrick-on-Shannon runs 4 times daily Monday to Saturday and back from Carrick-on-Shannon to Ballinamore 4 times daily.Timetable leaflets at most shop counters or call 071 9650 437 or visit locallink.ie .

Annaduff  N.S. Enrolment

Enrolment for junior infants for 2016/2017 is now taking place in Annaduff National School. Please call to the school or phone 071 9624416 to request an enrolment pack.

St Patrick’s Day.

There will be the Annual Traditional Mass for Deceased members of Drumsna C.C.E. on St.Patrick’s Day in Drumsna at 9.30am. On St. Patrick’s night there will be a fundraiser for Drumsna C.C.E.with admission optional in Mc Loughlins Pub, with a  session for young people from 8pm until 10 pm when older musicians , singers and dancers will take over for the night.There will also be a guest appearance of Annaduff National schoolwinners in the Scor na  mBunscoileanna  . Everyone is welcome and there will be a raffle with the person guessing the correct amount of Shamrocks on the board winning the hamper sponsored by Maureen Quigley. Light  refreshments will be served and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Meals on Wheels.

We are looking to recruit more volunteers for our meals on wheels service. With your help we can expand this service to even more people in the community. If you are interested in becoming involved please contact Drumsna Community centre for details on 071 9625782.

Children’s Disco.

There will be a children’s disco in Annaduff community centre on Wednesday March 16th from 8pm until 10pm. Admission is 3Euro and all are welcome.

Drumsna ‘s 1916 – 2016 Celebration.

Plans for the opening of the 1916 memorial garden on the top village green in April are coming along well. The  seven silver birch trees ,one for each of the signatories of the proclamation stand proudly there already.  The tri-colour will be hoisted  and the wonderful stone proclamation will be unveiled . The work on the garden which is based on a template from International gardener Diarmuid Gavin is being carried out by Drumsna garden centre.There will be other dignitaries also in attendance with a reception afterwards in the Community centre and everyone will be welcome.

Congratulations and well done to the pupils of Annaduff National school who won ‘’The Leitrim Primary school of the year’’in Scor  na mBunscoileanna in Cloone last week. The winners were 1st place, band Declan Gill, Ultan Kelly, Kate Curran ,Lauren Mc Weeney, Leah Collum. 1st place solo singer, Caoimhe Mooney, 2nd place Kate Curran.1st place ballad group, Caoimhe Mooney, Kate Curran, Aoife Bentout, Emily Gannon, Leah Collum.1st place Recitations Tommy Taylor, 2nd place Leonie Mc Kiver.2nd place in set dancing Declan Gill, Niamh Reynolds, Erin Newton, Aobhlinn Maxwell, Leah Faughnan,Caoimhe Mooney, Laura Flanagan, Aine Fitzpatrick.Also putting in great performances on the night were Sean nos Dancers Declan Gill, and  Aine Fitzpatrick, and quiz teams of  Liam Mc Namee, Rory O’ Connell, Kirstin Mc Kiver, Graig Mc Guinness, Leonie Mc Kiver, Christian Mc Dermott. Congratulations also to their teachers M/s Edel Palmer and M/s Sandra Gunning/Mc Evoy and to Edwina Guckian , Jack hughes and Lily Crossley who helped prepare the dancers. Well done to one and all and a great achievement for Annaduff National School

An evening not to be missed.

Leitrim’s Lio Club presents an evening of Gospel and inspirational songs with Red Hurley in St. Mary’s church ,Annaduff on Sunday april 10th at 5.30pm. with Annaduff  choir as artists on the night.
