Social Dancing

There will be dancing  in  Duignan’s Lounge  Drumsna on Friday October 16th   with music by Gerry Keenan  and on Sunday night  October 18th  in Fitzpatrick’s Lounge  Mohill .

Bingo.

Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on this Thursday October 15th  at  8.30pm. Last week’s winners include  Maura Reynolds, Ellen Gibbons. Raffle Marie Cassidy, Rachel Murray, Catherine O’Dowd . Free books  Peter Reynolds, Martina Tully.

Golden Age Meeting.

The next Golden age meeting is onWednesday week October 21st  at 11am in the Centre Drumsna. Please bring your scripts for the  Christmas play.

Computer Training.

Annaduff G.A.A. Strictly come Dancing.

Annaduff G.A.A. dancers are getting warmed up as they eagerly embark on a few weeks intense training sessions with our expert dance instructors who will prepare them for this exciting event which is due to take place in the Landmark Hotel Carrick on Friday November 27th. If you notice someone with a twinkle in their eye and doing a few  sudden twirls.. ..It could be them!!

Basket Making.

A basket making course will take place in the Centre Drumsna this Autumn in conjunction with the Mayo./ Sligo/ Leitrim Education and Training Board. For further information contact 071 9625782.

Volunteers  Needed.

A new meals on wheels service is now operating from the Drumsna Community and resource Centre. We are looking for volunteers to help deliver hot meals to those in need of this service. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Lorraine @071 9625782.

Drumsna Connections.

Dublin based Author Joanne Spain has just recently had her  new book ‘’With Our Blessing’’ published. Joanne’s book is a crime thriller based on the Magdalene Homes and one person’s  struggle through life. Joanne’s grandmother Reynolds left Crikeen, Drumsna  many years ago to work in Dublin and Joanne has been to visit Drumsna on occasion. The book is a great read and can be had in any good bookshop including The Reading Room ,Carrick-on-Shannon.

Sympathy.

Sympathy is extended to Pat Riordan Dublin Road, Drumsna on the untimely death of his wife Anna after a long illness bravely borne . Also to her son James ,daughters Karen , Denise and Deirdre, sisters ,brothers, relatives and friends. The late Anna was interred in Ballinamore cemetery after her funeral Mass in Drumsna on Monday last.

May her soul rest in peace. Amen

G.A.A./Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the G.A.A./Parish Lotto held in Cox’s steak House on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 6 ; 11 ; 14 ; 23.The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Mary Oates. The winners of the luck dip are as follows, Bridie Cox by 2 , Kevin Mc Weeney, Erica Ridge. The next draw is in Duignan’s Bar, Drumsna with a jackpot of 3,500 Euro.
