National Eucharistic Church Congress.

The National Eucharistic Congress takes place at Knock Shrine on the 26th -27th of September.

Social Dancing

There will be dancing  in  Duignan’s Lounge  Drumsna on Friday September 25th with music by Frank Nelson  and on Sunday night  September 27th in Fitzpatrick’s Lounge  Mohill with music  by Mark Finn .

Bingo.

Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on this Thursday September 17th  at  the earlier time of 8.30pm. Last week’s winners include Eileen O’ Brien, Margaret Butler, Percy Ffrench. Raffle Maura Mahon, Catherine O’ Dowd, Noel Mc Dermott. Free books Percy Ffrench, Lily Duignan.

Golden Age Meeting.

The next Golden age meeting is on to- dayWednesday September 23rd at 11am in the Centre Drumsna, Dance Teacher Liam Gildea will attend.

Set Dancing.

Computer Training.

FETAC Level 3 computer training course will take place this Autumn in conjunction with the Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim Education and Training Board, Foe more information please contact the Drumsna Community Resource Centre at 071 96 25782.

Occupational First Aid.

We are now taking names at the Drumsna centre from people who wish to take part in Occupational first aid training QQ1 levels. For more information or to book a place contact the centre at 071 97 25782.

5K Fun/ Run /Walk.

Drumsna Development association Ltd., are currently planning a 5 Km fun/ run/ walk. Our proposed date is Sunday the 11th of October. Anyone who wishes to become involved in the organising of this event  or who can help out in any way is asked to contact the centre @ 96 25782. This is a fundraising event and all proceeds go to the Community and resource centre to help provide vital services to the community.

Flute and Tin Whistle.

Computer Course.

QQ 1 level  5 computer course starting in October at computer training in the Mohill Enterprise Centre on the Ballinamore Road. Allowances  available. Call 071 9632024 or check them on face book

Drumshanbo Enterprise Centre.

Drumshanbo Enterprise Centre Autumn classes will commence on the week starting Monday  September 21st. There will be an improvers Computer class  ( QQ 1fetac level 4 ) and beginners class ( QQ1 fetec level 3 ). Courses are funded by  Sligo, Mayo, Leitrim Enterprise Boards. Volunteers Needed.

Are you a good listener? Want to lend an ear? We are looking for volunteers to support, carers ,relatives and friends who are caring for people who have a mental health illness. We ask anyone with a genuine desire to reach out to a carer who needs emotional support to please apply. Experience of supporting or caring for a family member, relative or friend with mental  health difficulties is valuable but not essential.  This new project, the Carers Liaison and support service  ( CLASS) is a joint project between the carers association and  Sligo Leitrim and South Donegal. Church Gate Collection.

There will be a Church Gate Collection  in Aid of Autism on Saturday/Sunday Sept 26th/27th.Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Defibrillator News.

The Annaduff/ Drumsna/ Jamestown Defibrillator group wish to thank everyone who contributed to the recent Church Gate collection. The amount collected was 616 euro.

355 Euro of this money went towards replacing batteries in 2 of our AEDs and the remaining money will go towards replacing the storage box at Annaduff G.A.A. pitch as the current box is leaking.

The group would like to give a big thank you to Ellen Hennessy who has retired from the committee . Ellen has been an instructor since the group started in 2007, her experience and help was invaluable to the group and they would like to wish Ellen health and happiness in her retirement.

Best Lady Farmer.2015.

Best wishes and good luck go to Ann Marie O Reilly, Glebe Drumsna who has been selected as one of the five finalists in the Corrib Oil ‘’ Lady Farmer of the year 2015’’. The final of the competition takes place on Thursday next September 24th at the National ploughing championships. If you are  going please support Ann Marie by going to stand 662 on row 34 at 2pm.  Well done to Ann Marie for getting in to the final and the best of luck on Thursday.
