Social Dancing

There will be dancing  in  Duignan’s Lounge Drumsna on Friday May 29th with music by Gerry Keenan and Bank holiday Sunday music by Mountain Fever.

Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on this Thursday May 29^th at 9pm. Please note change of time to 9pm for the Summer months. Last week’s winners include Mona Foley,  Ellen Gibbons. Raffle Marian Casserly, Teresa Moran, Kitty Storey. Free books Mona Foley, Linda Duignan.

Drumsna Family Fun Day.

The Annual Drumsna family and fun day in the Paddock with kind permission of Tommy and Teasie Mc Loughlin takes place on Sunday June 14^th. There will be children’s sports with mammies and daddy’s race, egg and spoon race , dog show,Bouncy Castles,Fortune Teller, Throw the wellie, Toss the sheaf ,  and much ,much more. Dancing in Duignan’s on the night and raffle for some nice prizes.If you would like to help out at the field day please give in your name to any D.D.A. member.

Strictly Come Dancing.

Annaduff G.A.A. Club is delighted to announce that Strictly come dancing is coming a very people who do not require any experience in dance. Participants will undergo an intensive preparatory programme with experienced instructors during the Autumnmonths. This will culminate in a gala performance locally in November of this year. It promises to be a night definitely not to be missed. Information on same is available from any club official.

Edwina’s D.V.D.

The nimble footed Edwina Guckian has recently been making a DVD of her dancing  around and about her beloved County Leitrim. The final part of the DVD will be made in Drumsna village on This Thursday evening May 28^th approx 6.30pm. on the street between Duignan’s and Garvey’s corner. Everyone  young, old and older is invited to come along and join in the fun and dancing and help Edwina show the spirit of our community in her latest project.

North West Hospice.

The North west Hospice sunflower days take place on the 4^th and 5^th of June. Volunteers will be out and about selling sunflower pins and plants grown by Loughan House, Blacklion,  Co.Cavan, If you would like to help please contact Bernadette r Catherine @ 071 91 43317.

Congratulations.

Congratulations are extended to Canadian couple Andrew Mc Gee and his new bride Karen who are spending part of their honeymoon in Drumsna with Andrew’s grand-mother Maggie Reilly Belmont, Maggie who is fast approaching her one hundredth birthday was unable to travel to the wedding due to a broken wrist but is doing well and delighted to welcome her grand- son and his new wife. We in the village also send congratulations to Andrew and Karen and hope that they enjoy their stay. Greetings also to the grooms parents Mary and Andy Mc Gee who are regular visitors to Drumsna.

LeitrimSub Aqua Club.

The Leitrim Sub aqua Club in conjunction with the Drumshanbo An Tostal festivities are holding a fun Sub Aqua Tri-a-Dive at the outdoor pool at Drumshanbo on this Saturday at 12 30pm. Everyone,  young and old  is welcome to come along and take part.
