The Late Mary Caslin
People were shocked at the news on Thursday last of the untimely death of Mary Caslin (nee Duignan) Quay Street ,Drumsna. The late Mary always had a kind word for everyone and was always to the fore in offering her help at the many village functions. She was a gifted Knitter and her beautiful crochet work which is all over the Country is a tribute to her gifted hands. Mary loved children and animals and she kept the ducks at the quay in fine form as well as numerous stray cats and dogs. Her funeral Mass on Saturday was a testament to the love and esteem that was felt for Mary. Her remains were cremated and some will be scattered on the grave of her parents and brother and also at a ceremony at the quay side Drumsna where her ashes will be scattered in her beloved River Shannon. Further details of this ceremony at a later date.
Our Sympathy goes to her husband Padraig Caslin, her brother Dominic, sister –in-law Bridgie beloved nieces and grand niece, relatives and a large circle of friends.
