There will be Mass in Drumsna on Friday evening followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Holy hour duty; Mary Khaleel and Maureen Quigley.

Bishops visit.

His Lordship Bishop Francis Duffy will be visiting The Parish of Annaduff and Blessing both Churches at the Sunday Masses on Sunday June 29th. The Bishop will bless Drumsna Church at the 9.30 am Mass and then travel on to Annaduff for the 11am Mass. At 2pm sharp on that day also there will  be a fund raising Concert in Annaduff G.A.A. Centre in aid of the Church building fund, this takes place at 2pm. The talent of the Parish will be on show and if you can act, sing, dance or whistle please give your name to any Parish Council member as I am sure there will be a big rush for the limited time to spare in what is a busy schedule! It will also be a chance to give a nice farewell to Sister Una and Sister Bridget. It is hoped to have a choir in both Churches on the day and if you can sing or play an instrument please use your God given talent.  As this is a lovely happy day of celebration for our Parish please take part if you are able.

Bingo

Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on this Thursday night May 29th at 9pm. Last week’s winners included Maura Mc Crann, Elizabeth Spendlove, Francis Conboy. Raffle Gerry Rynn x2 , Jimmy Moran. Free Books Martina Gannon, Marian Casserly.

Annual Vintage and Family Day

Drumsna Development Association are holding the Annual Family and Vintage day on Sunday next June 15th  in ‘’The Paddock’’ Drumsna kindly lent by Tommy and Teasie Mc Loughlin. The Blessing  and official opening will be carried out by Father John Wall P.P. AT 2 pm sharp.  M.C. for the day will be Gerry Mc Garry.  As well as the wonderful display of vintage cars and machinery, there will be a guest appearance From Sean –Nos ar- an- tSionann with Edwina Guckian at the helm, the usual Bouncy castles, Children’s sports, Children’s football match, butter making, Boxty making, Face painting,Children’s corner, Guess the name of the pony, Bric -a –brac stall, I.C.A. arts and crafts,Wellie throwing and much much more. The night will finish off with social dancing in Duignan’s Lounge to ‘’Impulse’’. The Annual draw will also take place on the night with 1st prize half tonne of coal ( to be collected) sponsored by Duignan’s XL store, 2nd prize 75 Euro, 3rd prize, 50 Euro , 4th prize Afternoon tea for two in Kilronan Castle. Lines for sale in the usual outlets  and in the Field on the day.

Annaduff G.A.A. Family day.

Annaduff G.A.A. in association with The North West Hospice and Tesco are holding a fun Family day on Sunday August 10th . All are invited to join in the fundraising where you can make a donation or sponsor a hamper. Tickets are on sale at the moment from any G.A.A. member. Sympathy.

Sympathy is extended to  Mrs Lily O’Boy Foxborough on the untimely death of her son Michael O’ Boy Manorhamilton also to his sister Patricia , Brother-in-law Frankie Nephew Cian , uncles, relatives and friends. Michael was interred in Annaduff after his funeral Mass which was celebrated by his cousin Fr. Michael O’ Boy and Fr; John Wall P.P.  in Drumsna on Saturday last.

Sympathy is also extended to Micheal and Geraldine Mc Nulty and family Gortconellon Drumsna, on the death of Geraldine’s Mother Mrs Angela Conlon, Ballyfarnon and Cortober. Mrs Conlon was interred in St. Mary’s Carrick after her funeral Mass on Saturday.

Sympathy is also extended to the sons, daughter, Son-in-law,daughter –in-law, grandchildren,  relatives and friends of the late Mrs Margaret Golderick, Gowel. Who was interred in Kiltoghert Cemetary after her funeral Mass on Sunday last.

May their souls rest in peace.

G.A.A./ Parish Lotto

There was no winner of the G.A.A./ Parish Lotto held in Cox’s Steak house on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 1; 2; 14 ; 16. The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Ann Marie Cox, The winners of the lucky dip are as follows John Mc Gushin, Pauline Talbot, Niall O’ Connor, Thomas Faughnan. The next draw is in Duignan’s Drumsna with a jackpot of 7,300 Euro.

Function in Effernagh.

Cllr Des Guckian will be holding a celebratory social night in Mc Loughlin’s Effernagh on Saturday night  14th June at 9.30pm. Luke Flanagan MEP will attend. All welcome.
