Church News.
There will be Stations of the Cross in Drumsna on Good Friday at 7pm.
The rest of the Holy week Ceremonies are in St Mary’s Church Annaduff this year. i.e. 7pm mass on Holy Thursday, Passion of Our Lord 3pm on Good Friday, Easter vigil on Holy Saturday at 9pm.
Easter Sunday Mass in Drumsna April 20th per usual at 9.30am. Reader Grainne Fagan, Ministers Barry Guckian and Grainne Fagan.
If you would like to become a Minister of the Word or Minister of the Eucharist or would like to spend an hour at Exposition on Friday evening please give in your name to either Sister Bridget , Sister Una or any Minister. New lists will be drawn up shortly.
Bingo
Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on this Thursday night April 10th at 8.30pm. Last week’s winners included Gerry Rynn, Mary Beirne, Raffle Kitty Storey, Patricia O’ Reilly, Mona Foley. Free Books Marie Meehan, Roseleen Lynch.
The time for Bingo will change to 9pm on Holy Thursday night April 17th with plenty of Extra money and the odd surprise and maybe an Easter egg or two.
County Fleadh.
The County fleadh will be held in Drumsna this year from Friday the 25th of April until Sunday the 27th this includes entries for all instruments, singing, comhra Gaeilge, duets, trios, all solo and dancing teams, bands and grupai ceoil. There will be strictly no late entries. All competitors must be printed in the Fleadh booklet. There are six comhaltas branches in Co. Leitrim, please ensure that you are a registered member of a branch. Fleadh entries can be forwarded to Maura Murphy to Fleadh Secretary ,087 2992449. A special memorial stone is to be unveiled on Sunday morning approx 10 .15am. April 27immediately after a special traditional Mass in Drumsna (9.30am,) commemorating the founding members of Drumsna Comhaltas as well as members past and present and all competitors and visitors to the Fleadh. Orlaith Guckian, Aibhlinn Maxwell, Emear Quigley, Liam Taylor Jnr., Antoinette Mc Guinness, Micheal O Dowd. Edwina Guckian and Fionnuala Maxwell are requested to be present for readings and the offertory procession.
Fleadh Booklet.

Children’s art competition
There will be a children’s U12 art competition in conjunction with the County fleadh , the theme is ‘’The Fleadh in Drumsna’’ Please send your entries to Fionnuala Maxwell Killyfad Aughamore, Carrick-on-Shannon , or drop them into Mc Loughlin’s Drumsna before Friday April 25th.
Golden Age Meeting.
There will be a Golden Age meeting in the Centre Drumsna on Wednesday next April 16th at 11am. Practise for the Bealtaine play will take place and all taking part are requested to attend. All money for the holiday in Killarney is now due, and bookings are closed, please give money to Maura Faughnan 96 24540 as soon as possible to secure your place.
Lourdes Pilgrimmage.

Country Music and Dancing.
Peter and Josephine Mc Loughlin, Mohill present a night of Country music and dancing in aid of the Alzheimer’s unit and patient comfort fund St. Patrick’s hospital , Carrick-on-Shannon in the Landmark Hotel on Monday night April 28th. Artists appearing include Kieran Rosney-‘’Willie’s Shoes’’ Jane Mc Namee, Matt Leavy, Kathy Durkin, John Farry, Trudi Lawlor, Simon Casey, Vicky Kenny, Trevor Moyles, Eunice Moran ,Seamus Moore, ‘’JCB Man’’. Doors open at 9pm ,show starts at 9.30pm. Admission is 15 Euro ,Tickets available at the door or from Peter @087 2973042. Compere for the night is Eugene Murphy and the support band is the famous Busy fingers. Don’t miss this great night’s dancing while supporting a very good cause.
Annual Foroige Cake Sale.
Drumsna Foroige are holding their Annual Easter cake /raffle sale on Easter Sunday from approximately 10 am until 1pm in the Community Centre Drumsna. If you are baking or donating items for the sale please give your cakes etc in to Bernie Daniels at the centre on Saturday evening from 7pm until 8pm.
Easter Commemoration.
A note from Cormac Flynn suggests that residents and road users in the Drumsna area are advised that there will be a large Easter Commemoration taking place between the villages of Drumsna and Jamestown on Easter Sunday April 20th. The parade will leave Drumsna at 3pm and proceed to Jamestown along the old N4 road to arrive at Jamestown at 3.30pm approximately. The road will not be closed but caution is advised. Thank you in advance for your co-operation ahead of the event. Everyone is invited to come along.

Percy’s Party.
A note from Tish Dunleavy tells us that preparations for Percy’s Party are well under way with ‘’Big Maggie’’ on Friday May 2nd, the Sweet Spirit Gospel Choir on Saturday 3rd May at 8pm Mass and later in the Hunt hall Mohill at 9pm.There will also be a re enactment of the court case between Percy French and the West Clare Railway Company. On Sunday the 4th of May the Gospel choir will be in St, Mary’s Church of Ireland and there is much more excitement later in the day. Don’t miss this great party , further details next week.
G.A.A./Parish Lotto.
There was no winner of the G.A.A./ Parish lotto held in Duignan’s Drumsna on Sunday night last. The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Betty Harte. The winners of the lucky dip are as follows, Rose Mc Weeney, Joe Toolan, Cathal Harte, John Dowling. The next draw is in Cox’s Steak House Dromod with a jackpot of 6, 900 Euro.
