Tiody Towns Competition.

It is that time of year again when our village prepares for the Tidy towns competition. Our marks have been steadily growing each year and we hope that this year will be no different. The village does not suddenly burst into bloom with a life of it’s own nor does it keep it’s self tidy. A lot of hard work and energy goes into the planning and litter picking over the Summer months. We are lucky to have James Brogan and his group of willing workers as well as all of the individual help from others. James ‘s group have already started at the Church area and will be keeping up the good work. Thanks to Thomas Quigley on the Roscommon side of the bridge for his help in collecting numerous bags of litter in his area. We wish our neighbouring village of Dromod the best of luck in the Entente Florale competition this year.

If you would like to get involved in the Tidy Towns committee please come along to our meetings which are held in the Community Centre on the second Tuesday of each month.
