Bingo

Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on Thursday night at 8.30pm. Last week’s winners included Catherine Murray, Gerry Rynn, Gerry O’ Reilly. Raffle John Meehan, Eileen o’Brien. Free books Martina Tully, Kathleen Rynn. There will be bingo in Newtownforbes on Sunday next at 3pm with 2,500 in prize money.

Leitrim Co. Fleadh

Drumsna Comhalthas Ceoltoiri Eireann is hosting Fleadh Cheoil Condae Liatroma this year on the last weekend of April. Fri 25th ,Sat., 26., Sun .,27th. Closing date for competitons is Friday 28th of March. The closing date for membership to Drumsna C.C.E. is Friday 28th of February. You can give your membership money to Sinead Guckian Chairperson, Edwina Guckian Secretary or Fionnuala Maxwell Treasurer. 6 Euro  per child, 12 Euro per Adult or 20 Euro per family. The Fleadh is always a great weekend of traditional music song and dance and if you feel you can help out in any way please give your name to any committee member. Drumsna C.C.E. are holding a Fundraising Session with kind permission from Tesco at the store on Saturday February 22nd.

Maggie’s Birthday

A great crowd came out to honour Maggie Reilly Belmont at her 98th birthday party held in Duignan,s Drumsna on Friday night last. Maggie blew out her candles accepted her flowers and enjoyed a dance with her good neighbour. Many thanks to all of the people who made the night so enjoyable , the decorations, the food, the cake, the band, Duignans and to everyone who came along. Maggie had a great time and is looking forward to her 99th next year!
