Christmas Nativity.

There will be a meeting  concerning the above immediately after the 9.30 Mass on Sunday Dec 8th to take names of the children who would like to be in the Christmas Nativity at 7pm Mass in Drumsna on Christmas Eve.

Santa visits Drumsna.

Santa is paying his Annual visit to Duignan’s Drumsna on this Saturday December 7th with the party starting at 2pm. Santa will come down the hill on his sleigh full of presents at 2.30. Booking is essential and you can do this in Duignan’s shop.

Annaduff I.C.A. Sale of Work

Annaduff I.C.A. are holding a Sale of Work/ Cake sale in the G.A.A. Centre on Sunday week next December 15th immediately after 11am Mass in St. Mary’s. All of the proceeds go to the fund for both Churches in the Parish.

Christmas Party

The Annual Senior Citizen’s Christmas party was held in The Bush Hotel Carrick, on Sunday last where a large crowd enjoyed the festive meal, the Golden Age drama,  the music ,singing and dancing to Country Stars. A big thank you to the organizers, the  Hotel, the band, Spot prize donators, and everyone who came along to make it and enjoyable occasion.

Bingo

Bingo continues on Thursday night in the Centre Drumsnaat 8.30pm. Last week’s winners included Mary Geheran, Niall Daniels, Raffle Carmel O Dowd , Jean O Brien, Elsie Taylor. Free books, Majella Reynolds,  Ellen Gibbons.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to Damien and Mary Moylan and family, Correish, Drumsna on thedeath of Damien’s mother Mrs Chrissie Moylan,Shannon Lodge ,Carrick-on-Shannon.

Sympathy is also sent to the extended Clyne and Corrigan families on the death of Jim Clyne formerly of Jamestown.

Sympathy is also extended to the Keenan Family on the death of Gerald Keenan also formerly of Jamestown who died in England.

25 Card Game.

The Annual 25 card game takes place in Mc Loughlin’s pub Drumsna on Sunday nextDecember 8th commencing at 9.30pm. Come along and enjoy the cards and win some great prizes.

Irish Wheelchair Association.

There will be a cake sale and a visit from Santa Claus at the I.W.A.  on the Castlecarragh Road ,Carrick-on-Shannon, ( opposite Aldi ) on this Friday December 6th from 12noon until 5pm. Santa Claus will arrive at 2pm. Please come along and support this very deserving organisation of the Irish Wheelchair Association and enjoy the festive fare.

There are some great gift ideas in the Shops in Drumsna and locally for loved ones at home and abroad including ‘’Leitrim Treasure’’ by Brendan Harvey , ‘’The Leitrim Guardian ‘’ both of which are packed with great articles around and about the County, Annaduff I.C.A. have a beautiful 2014 calendar depicting scenes from the Parish for each month of the year and if you or a friend are into Fishing there is a book called ‘’Irish Dreams’’ by Brian Bohan which is full of Information on angling , location etc. All of these are reasonably priced and would make great Christmas gifts and you would be supporting home industry.
