There will be Mass in Drumsna on Friday evening September 20th at 7pm followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Holy hour duty; Regina Mc Nabola and Teresa Guckian
9:30am Mass Sunday September 22nd, Reader Ella Gannon, Ministers Padraig Dunne and Ella Gannon.
Coffee morning.
There will be a Coffee/Tea Morning in the Centre Drumsna on Friday September 20th from 10.30 until 12 30 pm. all proceeds go to the North west Hospice and your support would be much appreciated
Bingo
Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on Thursday night at 9pm. Last week’s winners included Alan Spendlove, Charles Beirne, Raffle Rachel Murray; Geraldine Bohan; Eileen O Brien. Free Books Rose Newell; Elizabeth Carroll.
Celebrations were held at last week’s bingo for Mary Beirne Mohill who had a special birthday and for Maura and Jimmy Bohan Kesh who were forty years married last week.The best of luck to them all.
Drumsna Foroige
Drumsna Foroige will resume meetings in the Centre on Wednesday September 18th at 7pm with registration for both current and new members. New Leaders are also welcome.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Edwina Guckian and her dance troupe An tSidhe who won the finals of Jig Gig on RTE. On Wednesday night last. There will be a welcome home party for them in the Community Centre, Drumsna on Sunday fortnight September 29th at 6pm. Everyone is welcome.
Sympathy.
Sympathy is extended to the Guckian Family Cornagulla on the death of their mother Mrs Babby Guckian Nee Goldrick. To her sons Paddy and Liam, daughters Maura, Bernadette, and Peggy, Sons-in-law Patsy, Jodie, and Gerry, daughter –in-law Teresa, Grand-children and great- grand –children, nephews , nieces, relatives and friends. The late Mrs Guckian was buried in Kiltoghert Cemetary after her funeral Mass in Drumsna on Wednesday.
May her soul rest in peace.
Drumsna /Jamestown Snorkel.
Thanks is extended to Waterways Ireland for their help and assistance at the recent Snorkel /swim in the river Shannon between Jamestown and Drumsna. It is greatly appreciated. Next years swim is already being planned and will be held on Saturday August 30th. 2014.
Tidy towns Results.
Drumsna gained four points in the 2013 tidy Towns Results and is fourth in the County just being pipped at the post by Cloone who are 1 point ahead. The committee are very pleased and hopefully the good work will continue. Thanks is extended to everyone who did their bit , to James Brogan and his troupe of men who are diligent in their grass cutting, weeding, hedge trimming etc. also to our TUS man Robert who is also of great benefit. Congratulations to our neighbours Dromod and Jamestown and our County Town of Carrick-0n-Shannon who also did well. A full report will be published at a later date.
G.A.A./Parish Lotto.
There was no winner of the G.A.A./Parish Lotto held in Mc Loughlins Drumsna on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 4 ; 8 ; 11 ;12. .the winner of the fifty Euro prize is Mary B. Duignan . The winners of the lucky dip are as follows. Olive Cox, Marian Casserly, Chris Leneghan, Cathal Rowley. The next draw is in Cox’s Streak House Dromod ,with a jackpot of 5,400 Euro.
