Congratulations to U 18 all Ireland 400 metre Champion, Joanna Duignan Gortinee who ran on the Irish relay team who came 2nd in Wales last week .

Best of luck to Edwina Guckian, Drumsna who departed Drumsna in her pony and trap driven by Fred Gill to represent Co. Leitrim at the Rose of Tralee next week. A large crowd gathered in the village to give Edwina a rapturous send off. More Photos
Sympathy.
Sympathy is extended to Irene and Brian Beirne and family Drumgildra on the death of Irene’s mother Mrs Agnes Scollan., also to her son Liam and daughters Agnes and Christina, Daughter in law Margaret, sons-in-law Maurice and Paul 15 Grandchildren relatives and friends. The late Mrs Scollan was interred in Kiltoghert after her funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Carrick on Sunday last.
May her soul rest in peace.

G.A.A./Parish Lotto
There was no winner of the G.A.A.Parish Lotto held in Duignan’s Drumsna on Sunday August 4th. Thee numbers drawn were 3 ;12 ; 21 ; 24. The winner of the 50 euro prize was Amy Cox. The winners of the lucky dip are as follows Liam Faughnan, Catherine Cox,, Noel Ward, John Ward. The next draw is in Cox’s Steak house Dromod with a jackpot 5,100 Euro.
All Ireland Final
The best of luck is extended to the Carrick-on-Shannon U10 mixed Gaelic football team who are in the All Ireland Community games in Athlone on Saturday next.
The Gathering
The winner of the Word search at the gathering walk in Drumsna was won by Ciara Mc Manus Jamestown while the Quiz on the historical trail was won by Rosemary and Des Mc Manus, Mayo. Noel Duignan who led the walk would like to thank Myra Reynolds for her help in compiling the word search, to Roz Webb for photocopying and opening up the Community Centre, to Louise and Julie Tutty for typing and editing the quiz questions, and to the large crowd for their interest at the walk and to all who entered the quiz.
