A Tribute to the late Jim Conroy.

Little Christmas brought the sad news to the Glebe , Annaduff of the death of Jim Conroy in London.

Jim visited Leitrim in 2009 to explore his roots only to find that his mother Ellie had passed away just 3 years previously. Sadly he never met his mother ,but he did meet his first cousins and many other relatives.

Jim took part in the Drumsna Vintage and family day on two occasions in 2010 and in 2011 when he drove his vintage Ford Consul car all the way from London to Leitrim together with his wife Pat.

Jim was a gentle soft spoken man with a smile and a good word for everyone. His last visit was in July 2012 when he and Pat spent some time once again in the Glebe.

We send sincere sympathy to Jim’s  wife Pat , his son Michael, daughter Suzanne, Grand-children Christian and Georgia , as well as to his many relatives and friends around Leitrim. Jim’s Funeral takes place to-day Wednesday January 16th at 10am in St. Bernadett’s Church, Hillingdon. London.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

Patricia O’Reilly Glebe, Drumsna.
