Golden Age meeting

There will be a meeting of the above in The G.A.A. Community Centre Annaduff on Wednesday November 21^st at 11am.. ( Please note change of venue.) The Christmas party takes place in the Bush hotel Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday December 2^nd. Christmas Dinner at 2.30 with dancing  to Mark Finn afterwards.

Do this in Memory .

The do this in memory program (For First Communicants ) will be celebrated at the 11am. Mass in St. Mary’s Annaduff on Sunday next Nov., 25^th The Feast of Christ the King. A meeting of preparation will be held in the Church Annaduff on Thursday Nov., 22^nd at 8pm.

Bingo

Bingo continues on Thursday night in the Centre Drumsna at 8.30pm.Last week’s winners included May Canning, Maura Mahon, Raffle Maureen Mc Loughlin, Delorous Mathews, Margaret Mc Guire. Free Books Francis Conboy, Margaret Butler.

Birthday celebrations.

Congratulations are extended to Cissie Reynolds ,Fargrim on the occasion of her Ninetieth birthday. Cissie celebrated with family and friends at a party at the Landmark Hotel Carrick-on-Shannon and at a special Birthday Mass in Drumsna on Sunday last.

Bookshop of the year.

Congratulations to The Reading Room, Carrick-on-Shannon on being one of five Bookshops in the Country to be short listed for The Bord Gais Bookshop of the year award. The Winner will be announced on Tomorrow Thursday November 22^nd and we wish them the best of luck.

For those of you who are avid readers like myself, you can leave a Christmas list in The Reading Room of books that you would like for Christmas and they will be crossed of accordingly . It’s a great way of getting something that you would really like (instead of the Socks or soap! )

Confirmation.

A Sacrament of Confirmation for the parents of young people who are celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation next year 2013, takes place in Annaduff National School on Wednesday Nov 21^st at 8pm. All parents are requested to attend.

G.A.A./ Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the G.A.A. / Parish Lotto held in Duignan’s Drumsna on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 7 ; 20 ; 21 ; 23. The winner of the 50 Euro was Gerry Gannon. The winners of the lucky dip are as follows Mary Fox; Micheal o Dowd ; Joanna Duignan ; Mary Oates. The next draw is in Cox’s Steak House Dromod, with a jackpot of 3,300 Euro.
