Bingo

There is Bingo every Thursday night in the Community Centre Drumsna at 9pm.Last week’s winners included P.J. Mc Garry , Ann-Marie O’ Reilly. Raffle Nancy Azzuri, Marcella Hanley, Marie Brown. Free Books Peter Reynolds ; Kathleen Rynn.

The Irish catholic Newspaper is on sale  at both Parish Churches Drumsna and Annaduff for 1 Euro 30 cent. The money may be placed in the candle shrine box.

5^th Annual Sub Aqua Snorkel.

The 5th Annual Leitrim Sub Aqua Snorkel  From Jamestown to Drumsna takes place on this Saturday August 25^th at the Quay in Drumsna at 2pm. At 2.30 pm Everyone transfers to Jamestown Weir where the snorkel commences, just bring your wetsuit and fins , the swim will be accompanied by boats and assistance all the way along the river back to Drumsna. This year is bigger and better and up to 100 hundred people hope to make a splash! There will be a welcome  Bar-b-q  at 3.30 on the Quay to take the edge off the hunger pangs after the journey under the water. Later there will be Music ,raffles and entertainment in Duignan’s Lounge from 5pm. Everyone is welcome and proceeds are in aid of the Sub Aqua Club and the Leitrim  Simon Community. Your support would be appreciated and everyone is welcome to all the events.

Diocesan pilgrimage

The Ardagh and Clonmacnoise Diocsan pilgrimmage to Knock Shrine takes place on Sunday September 2^nd.Bus leaving Dromod at 10am Annaduff 10. 10am. Drumsna 10. 20.am

St. Mel’s Cathedral

Work is to commence on St Mel’s Cathedral after  the horrific fire that blazed there three years ago. The restoration is believed to be one of the largest conservation projects in recent years. First repair works are due to start on August 28^th. It is hoped that the work will be completed by Christmas 2014.

Mohill Honda 50 Run.

The Annual Mohill Honda 50 run takes place on Sunday next August 26^th, commencing at the Canon Donohue Memorial Hall, at  12 noon. The trip is 55 miles long and proceeds go to the Mohill family support centre. So get out the Honda 50 s and off you go. As well as the enjoyment of the trip you will be helping a very worthy cause.

G.A.A./Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the recent G.A.A./ Parish Lotto . The numbers drawn were 5 ; 18 ; 20 ; 21. The winners of the 50 Euro prize were Brenda and Mary Cox. The winners of the lucky dip are as follows. Paul Keenan , Diarmuid O’ Brien, Derek Crowe, Annetha Loughran. The next draw is on Sunday night in Mc Loughlin’s Bar Drumsna with a jackpot of 2,600.
