Well done Jamestown.
Congratulations to the hardworking Jamestown Development Committee who have just finished hosting a wonderful 2 week boating /local festival commencing with the annual Show and Dance. I missed the Annual show for the first time ever due to a wedding but by all accounts it was a great success as were all of the other functions . The table quiz was packed to capacity, the music by the Sligo Baroque players inn the Sacred Heart Church was also packed to capacity before the lighting of the famous Arch. There were a few sore heads on Thursday after a traditional night of music song and dance in Gene’s Thatch Bar, the trip to Rinn Castle was enjoyed as were the lectures on Saturday. Sunday saw the Battle re-enactment which was excellent. Street entertainment was also enjoyed by all before the pig roasting took place. Once again well done to all concerned .
