Golden Age News.
There will be a Golden Age Meeting in the Centre Drumsna at 11am on Wednesday June 8th .Please bring the money for the Daniel O Donnell Concert to secure your ticket. Apologies for the confusion of last week’s meeting.

Drumsna Family and Vintage Day
The Annual Family and Vintage day now takes place on Sunday June 19th due to the Leitrim Roscommon match being on June 12th. The day promises to be bigger and better with all the usual wonderful vintage cars and machinery on show . There will be Craft displays of Besom Making with Frank Keane , Rope making with Gerry O Reilly, Boxty Making with Elvira and Gerry Gilroy, Butter making with Ella Gannon ,Crochet work with Mary Caslin, there will also be farm animals on with a pet lamb to whom the children may give a bottle to and also guess it’s name ( I’m not allowed to say if it’s a boy lamb or a girl ! ) there will be a big fat heifer courtesy of John Mc Nulty who will also be up for guessing only this time you have to guess her weight,you can also win the doll by guessing It’s name, you may have your blood pressure taken by Nurse Kitty , your palm read by Madame Jules, play hand roulette with Patricia O Reilly, throw the wellie with Bernie Daniels, hang the tea towels with Mona Guckian, go sumo wrestling with Derek Kellegher,get your face painted with Clodagh Farrell, have fun at the children’s treasure hunt with John Darlington, enter the most glamourous granny , the best dressed lady or bonny baby competitions, bring your dog along to the dog show, run in the childrens sports ,watch the under 8 football game between Annaduff and Kilmore, get a bargain at the bric a brac stall, stay in the small children’s play area with Sian Dole or just bounce on the bouncy castles which after an initial charge of 3 Euro and your hand stamped you may bounce for the rest of the day.We have the famous Edwina Guckian and her troupe of Sean Nos ar an tSionnan making a guest appearance during the day If you are feeling peckish after all this excitement go to the quay street café in the Community centre for a bite to eat . Come along and don’t miss a great days fun for all the family .

Tidy Towns News.
The work meetings continue on Tuesday evenings at 8pm . Most residents are doing their own clean up and various flower beds weeding etc has taken place . Belmont heights has a nice new marble name plate this looks very well the Shannonside walk has new shrubs and flowers, the Church wall has been painted white , the tree bays on Quay Street all look well, and many houses have been given a new coat of paint, thanks is extended to all of those who have planted , weeded etc also to our hardy band of boys who mow and strim the green areas, and to the children and Mrs Deirdre Mc Keon at Annaduff National School have finished their project of birds and insects for the signs in the habitat Judging commences around June 1st and we are usually judged quite early
