Mass Times.

There will be Mass in Drumsna on Friday evening at 7pm followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament holy  duty Margaret Mc Guire ; Ella Gannon.

Mass on Sunday at 9.30am Reader / Minister Barry Guckian .

Golden Age Meeting .

There will be a golden age meeting in the Community Centre Drumsna on Tuesday October 26^th at 11 am .All members are requested to attend rehearsals for the play .

Bingo.

Bingo continues in the Community Centre Drumsna on Thursday nights commencing at 8.30pm. Winners last week included Lilly Duignan, Niamh Mc Nulty , Eileen O Brien , Marion Rose Casserly , Patricia Gilroy, Free Books Elsie Taylor , Katrina Newell.

North West Simon Fundraiser

Thanks is extended to all of the people who supported our recent Coffee morning in Drumsna held by the Golden Age Group which brought in 342 Euro, also to all the friends and neighbors of David Price ,Kilnagross who sponsored him to the tune of over 800 Euro in his recent sleep out in Carrick-on-Shannon. David is very grateful to everyone who helped him raise this amount.

Lucky spot

Duignan’s supermarket Drumsna have recently sold an exceptional amount of winning lottery tickets and scratch cards  with a number of lucky punters winning  large amounts over the past couple of weeks , good luck to all the recipients .

D.A.R.A.

Please note that The monthly D.A.R.A.training session now takes place on the last Wednesday of the month ie Wednesday Oct 27^th at 8pm until 8.30pm in the Community Centre Drumsna. If you have not revalidated recently please come along .

Drumsna Development Association in conjunction with D.A.R.A. placed four Heart safe signs on the approaches  to the village , unfortunately the sign on the Roscommon side of the village was removed from the bridge . This is indeed a sorry state of affairs when a sign that states that our village is a heart safe place to live and visit is vandalised . The Guards have been notified and are investigating the matter. If anyone has any information please pass it on to the guards or any member of D.D.A. or D.A.R.A. in confidence

Major Award .

Heartiest Congratulations to Eileen Bourke, Corry and her team who have just scooped the prestigious ‘’Irish Contract Cleaning Award ‘’ 2010 .The Award which was presented to Eileen by Martin King of TV3 at a ceremony in Dublin is an Annual Competition in which  Contract Cleaning Firms throughout Ireland  compete against each other in the various categories. Eileen and her dedicated team who work for Noonan’s Cleaning services  at The Bank of America building Carrick-on-Shannon came through the preliminary rounds some time ago and with all the festivities in Carrick-on Shannon due to the Entente Florale winning gold it is indeed fitting that this wonderful building and it’s offices through the great work of Kerry woman Eileen Burke and her team, have produced yet another Award within the County Town .
