There will be Mass in Drumsna on Friday evening October 8th at 7pm.followed by Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament.Holy Hour duty  Regina Mc Nabola, Teresa Guckian.

9.30am Mass on Sunday October 10th Reader / Minister Patricia Farrell.

The Irish Catholic Newspaper is on sale in both Parish Church’s at a reasonably priced 1Euro 30 cent, money can be placed in the candle stands , please support this Catholic newspaper, also each household is requested to bring home the Parish news letter.

Golden Age Meeting.

There will be a meeting of the above in the Community Centre Drumsna at 11am on Tuesday October 12th  all members are requested to attend this meeting as we have the first rehearsal of ‘’the Inheritance’’ on that day .

Bingo

Bingo continues in the Community Centre Drumsna each Thursday night at the earlier time of 8.30pm Last week’s winners included Maura Bohan, Kesh , Roseleen Newell Drumsna ,Michael Mahon Mohill, Maureen mc Loughlin Drumsna, Patricia O’ Reilly Glebe, winners of the free books Maura Bohan, Carmel O Dowd .

Three Awards for Drumsna .

Congratulations and well done once again to Drumsna in scooping three awards at the Leitrim Co. Council Floral Pride Awards held in Mohill last week. Gannon’s Factory took 2nd in Best presented business award , The Shannon side Walk took a prize in the amenities category and the village  in the community section . Well done to all concerned in the planting, nurturing, watering, weeding etc of these areas, also to our gallant band of Jim Padraig and James who keep our green areas in pristine condition . We have our monthly meeting on Tuesday night next October 12th at 8pm for one hour , please come along and give your ideas and suggestions for the area.

Carrick Community School.

The A.G.M. of the parents Association will be held in the school on to-night, Wednesday October 6th at 8pm. All parents and guardians are asked to attend this meeting . Active involvement of  parents and guardians is very much encouraged in the school.

 

 

 

Drugs and Alcohol Awareness.

There will be a talk with invited guest speakers in attendance at a meeting in the Community school on Tuesday October the 19th commencing at 7.30am .the attendance of parents/guardians would be appreciated.

Brian Boru Millenium

The Brian Boru Committee wishes to publicly sympathise with Tom and Teasie Mc Loughlin and all of the Mc Loughlin family Drumsna on the recent death of Aloysious Mc Loughlin. R.I.P. Alo was very highly regarded in this area and his ready smile sent a ray of hope through everyone who was fortunate enough to have met him.

A concert of traditional music, song, dance and recitation is to be held in Annaduff Community Centre on Sunday next October 10th from 2.30 to 5pm. All are welcome and admission is optional . The first half hour will be given over to young performers, they are welcome to come and entertain us in a non competitive atmosphere of support and appreciation. There will be many adult performers from our own area and some invited guests of proven high ability from outside. An afternoon of great entertainment is assured and we hope to make it more like a really good traditional session than a very formal concert. In the interest of safety help with the stewarding would be greatly appreciated.

G.A.A./Parish Lotto

There was no winner of the G.A.A./Parish lotto held in Duignan’s Drumsna on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 6 ; 7 ; 16 ; 22. The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Paul Bohan. The winners of the 25Euro prizes are as follows ,Eamonn Shanley, Donal Fox, Phil Elderton , John Cox . The next draw is in Cox’s Steak House, Dromod with a jackpot of 2,000Euro.
