Tea / Coffee morning
The Golden Age Group are holding a tea/coffee morning in the Community Centre Drumsna in aid of the North West Simon Community from 11am until 12am on next Tuesday October 5th . Your support would be appreciated for this worthy cause and everyone is welcome.
Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to the Mc Loughlin Family on the death of Aloysious Mc Loughlin which took place in Roscommon County Hospital last week.The late Aloysious is survived by his brothers Tommy Drumsna, Christy U.S.A. Oliver Sligo ,Sisters Maureen Quigley Drumsna, Kathleen Moran Drumsna, Monica Battles Boyle, Nancy Duignan Carrick.sisters –in-law, brothers-in-law ,nephews ,nieces relatives and friends. Aloysious was laid to rest in Annaduff on Saturday after his funeral Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Drumsna .
May his soul rest in peace.

Baby Girl.
Congratulations are extended to Niamh and Joe Flaherty M.D. of the Longford Leader and Leitrim Observer on the birth of their second child ,a baby daughter named Jill,a little sister for Kate and another Grand-daughter for May (nee Lynch ) and Tony Donlon
Longford . The baby is also another grand niece for John Joe and Laurence Lynch Backwood Drumsna and I’m sure granny May will soon be bringing baby Jill to see her grand uncles and her Drumsna roots.
Golden Wedding .
Congratulations are extended to Phyllis and Vincent Doherty , Dublin on their Golden Wedding Anniversary which they celebrated with their lovely family and friends in The Radisson St Helen hotel Stillorgan Recently. Vincent who hails from Co. Mayo and Phyllis (nee Mc Nabola) comes from Annaghmadoo Kilnagross were joined by many friends from Dublin and around the Corlara , Jamestown , Drumsna and Mohill areas on an unforgettable night of enjoyment. We wish them both many more years of wedded bliss.
Carrick take Gold.
Congratulations to Carrick-on-Shannon and their sponsors on their major achievement in winning gold in their category in the International Entente Florale Competition . This Competition is open to towns and villages throughout Europe and is a great boost to the County and indeed to the Country. Well done to all the willing helpers voluntary and otherwise and tour own Drumsna Garden Centre who created some wonderful floral work in and around the town .
D.A.R.A. Meeting
A very important meeting of D.A.R.A. takes place in The Community Centre Drumsna on This Monday night October 4th at 8.30pm. Our Parish is unique in that it is a heart safe place to live in and to visit with up to a hundred volunteers trained in defibrillator and CPD. To keep up this good record you must revalidate and practice the training methods. We are very lucky in Drumsna as training and revalidation takes place on the last Friday of each Month in the Community Centre all on a voluntary basis so please come along and avail of this opportunity. All members are requested to attend Monday’s meeting regardless of whether they are revalidated or not.
Drumsna Women’s Group.
Drumsna Women’s Group are holding a meeting this Wednesday evening September 29th at 8pm in the Community Centre Drumsna to discuss plans for the Autumn / Winter programme. All new and existing members are welcome.
