Macdermots of Ballycloran.

The film that was shown in Leitrim’s mobile cinema on Sunday August 29th has generated so much interest with requests for a D.V.D. of Ballycloran that they will be on sale from this week at 10 Euro each . It is a wonderful achievement for the sixty six people , including the sixteen children in the hedge school all from this area who were so eager and willing to participate. The story is a sad tale and does not have a very happy ending ,but considering the close proximity of Ballycloran to Drumsna it had to be that particular book this year. Next time we will pick a happier tale. Thanks is extended once again to all the actors ,also to Jim and Ella Gannon Main street, Tommy and Teasie Mc Loughlin Main Street, Elsie and Liam Taylor the Ivy Tree,   Sinead Guckian and Kevin Ludlow Quay Street , Cissie Mc Manus Fargrim  ,  Mary Ellen and James Ginty Annaghmadoo, Drumsna Garden Centre,   all of whose houses and gardens were used during filming ,to Fred Gill and his horse Molly,  to Kathleen and Sonny Moran for the scenes at their stables at Drumsna to Padraig Rinn who gave permission for the Trollope Group to visit Ballycloran . The D.V.D. can be got from Ella at 086 1516858 or Colleen at 087 7670788.
