Anyone who would like to be in this scene is very welcome to do so .It is set in 1843 and appropriate clothing must be worn .

Anthony Trollope was an English novelist who wrote his very first book ‘’The Macdermots of Ballycloran ‘’ when he came to Drumsna to work in the post Office in 1843. He stayed in Taylor’s Pub which was then called ‘’The Ivy Tree Inn ‘’. The Post Office was where  Mc Loughlin’s Pub now is .He was a very unhappy man when he arrived but when he came to Ireland his life changed and he ‘’never was so happy ,. He has certainly put Drumsna on the map and will be bringing many visitors from Ireland England and America to the village to what we hope will be an Annual event . Further details will be in these notes.
