ANNALS A SUCCESS

Des Guckian’s “ANNALS of ANNADUFF” is selling well. There is a small number left in local shops. Anyone intending to buy a copy should get one now before they are all gone.

An excellently produced DVD of the book launch, in Flynn’s Shannon Key West Hotel, Rooskey, can be ordered from Michael Frayne, Rooskey, or from Des Guckian. At 10 euro per copy, it is really good value.

Thanks to Marie Fitzpatrick, of The Linnet’s Wings, Dromod, there is an attractive “Annals of Annaduff” website to be viewed on the world-wide web. That too is worth a visit.

Annaduff Girls.

Annaduff School girls team had a great win over Drumlea on Friday last at Annaduff National School. All of the team put in a great performance and won on a score line of 6-6 to 1-14. the team was Laura Prior, Carla Doyle, Loiuse Shanley, Sinead Reynolds (4-3), Laura Doyle, Vivienne Egan (2-3) and Amy Cox. Sub used; Aine McHugh. Other pannel members; Louise Gaffney, Aisling Gill, Niamh McNulty and Tara Curran. The team are top of the table now and will play rivals Bornacoola in the final in the next few weeks. The boy’s team have also reached the finals so this is a great achievement for the school.
