Congratulations to the Mulvihill- Farrell School of motoring on their revamped school of Motoring . Bernie and Brendan have been the leading lights in this business for along number of years and its great to see Bernie back from her stint as a driving Tester / Supervisor in many parts of  the Country to run the school with her husband Brendan.

Congratulations also to Liam Mc Namee Archway Products Ltd ., Jamestown on his New system of repairing potholes and road surfaces with the Roadmaster velocity  patcher which was designed and developed by Liam at his factory in Jamestown .Well done to all concerned . Its great to hear of two success stories in these rather troubled times.

An Grianan Trip.

There will be a one day  Bus trip to An Grianan instigated by Annaduff I.C.A. on Saturday July 17^th.  There will be a cookery demonstration on the day and the full fee is 55 Euro . Everyone is welcome .

Entente Florale.

Good luck .to our  neighbouring  town of Carrick-on-Shannon with their entry in the Entente Florale competition . Judging takes place on the 16^th of July and already things are hotting up             in the County Town which is the only entry in Co. Leitrim .

May Floweras

It was lovely to see the old tradition of placing May flowers at the door step continued  in Drumsna on Friday evening ( May Eve ) Our Lady Blesses them during the night to keep all within safe and well during the coming year   The old custom is one of many including the May Altar in the home that has done well to last into the twenty first century .These lovely traditions are all to do with the Month of the Blessed virgin.

Sean Nos Classes

The Golden Age group are commencing Sean Nos Dancing classes with Edwina Guckian on Friday may 7^th at 8pm. in the community Centre Drumsna  until Friday June 11th. Everyone is welcome to come along . Sean nos is a wonderful old traditional style of Irish dancing and having Edwina who is twice world champion as our teacher makes it extra special .
