There will be a Mission Mass in Drumsna on Thursday Morning at  8am.

There will be Mass  on Friday evening at 7pm.followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament . Holy Hour duty Mary Duignan ; Colleen Guckian.

Golden Age News .

The Group are busy practicing their party piece for the Bealtaine festival. Their social takes place in The Bush hotel Carrick-on-Shannon on Tues May 4^th with dancing to Mark Finn . The Annual holiday  commences on Sunday May 30^th until Thursday June 4^th and this year we are going to the Mount  Errigal Hotel , Letterkenny Co. Donegal.The cost of the  holiday is 300 Euro (single room supplement 80 euro ) and includes four nights B and B three evening dinners , entertainment, two day trips and the coach to and from Donegal . The coach departs from and to  Drumsna . Bingo

Bingo continues on Thursday night in the Community Centre Drumsna, Last weeks winners of the big money were Myra Bohan ;Teresa Moran ;Colm Murray , winners of the raffle Geraldine Bohan ; Margaret Butler , winners of the free books Colleen Guckian  Micheal Guckian. Gardening Course

An interesting gardening course with Eamonn Smith from Ballinamore commences in the meeting rooms Annaduff N.S. on Friday March 26^th at 8pm. These classes will run for five weeks and will tell you all you want to know about vegetable growing. Everyone is welcome even if you haven’t green fingers .

Sympathy .

Sympathy is extended to  Catherine , Mary and Shay Reynolds Clooncollery , Dromod on the untimely death of a beloved husband and son, Kevin Reynolds ,also to his brothers , sister-in-law relatives and friends.

Saint Patrick’s Night

Drumsna branch of comhalthas are hosting a Sesuin Mor  in Mc Loughlin’s Pub Drumsna on Saint Patrick’night.Brian Mostyn and friends will lead the session and all traditional musicians and singers are welcome . Refreshments will be served and a great night’s entertainment is assured.

Celebrity Sean Nos.

The Celebrity Sean Nos night in Clarke’s Hotel Mohill, held in aid of The Connaught Fleadh ,which is being hosted by Mohill and Drumsna Branches of Comhalthas this year  was packed to capacity on Friday night last . A very capable Fionnuala Maxwell was M.C. for the wonderful troupe of celebrities and young Sean nos dancers that took to the stage.The judges  Desuin lyons ; Sinead Guckian and Leonie had a hard time as they made the final decision,but as far the audience was concerned everyone was a winner Drumsna’s Liam Taylor together with his sons Liam Og and Tommy were a treat to watch as was Annaduff footballer John Faughnan who delighted the crowd as he danced with his nieces Roisin and Ceili, Emer Quigley and Declan Gill also wowed the audience as they danced with their partners. Rian Haf Reese also showed off her twinkle toes with her partner .The music which was lead by Brian Mostyn was  outstanding.  Of course the night would not have been complete without an exhibition of Sean Nos from the teacher of all the competitors , Edwina Guckian and her boyfriend Mike O Rourke. Fleadh Chairman Enda Stenson thanked everyone for their support . Well done to all concerned  from Mohill and Drumsna on a wonderful night filled with the sight of so many young children ,teenagers and not so young enjoying our traditional music song and dance.

There was no winner of the G.A.A. / Parish lotto held in the Brandywell, Dromod on Sunday night last.The numbers drawn were  3 ;5 ;7 ; 8 . The winner of the fifty Euro prize was Billy Beirne .
