Mass Times .

There will be Mass in Drumsna at 7pm.on Wednesdays and Fridays during Lent . Next Friday is the first Friday and the sick will be visited per usual .Mass on Sunday at 9.30am. The Parish Mission starts on March 15th 2010.The St. Patrick’s Missionary Group from Gowel will also speak at the Parish Masses the weekend  before the Mission commences .

Masses will be in Drumsna at 8am Monday to Thursday .and in Annaduff at 10 am. Monday to Thursday and at 8pm Monday to Friday . It is hoped that there will be a good attendance at the Mission . You can find full details in the Parish Newsletter which is fresh off the press this week . If you have relevant Parish news or notices and wish to have them in included the newsletter please give items in to Father John Wall before and up until Thursday .Well done to our Parish priest Fr. John on his initiative in starting up The Parish Newsletter which will be a welcome addition to our weekend Masses .

Golden Age News .

There will be a meeting of the above this morning ( Wednesday ) at 11am . Margaret Mc Cartin will attend . Also in Attendance will be Garda Helen Colleran who is the new Garda Community Alert Representative for this area . All members are asked to make a special effort to attend this meeting .


Bingo continues in The Community centre Drumsna on Thursay night with first call at 8.30 sharp. The big money winners last week were Liz Hughes ; Kathleen Reynolds ; Teresa Gilroy ; Winners of the raffle Thomas  O Reilly ; Tess Gannon . Free Books , Kitty Story ; Colm Murray .Thanks to all our patrons for their continued support  .


Congratulations and well done to Cian Murray Annaduff Drumsna who got through to the Connaught Cross country running Championships recently and then went on to represent the Province in the All Ireland  in Galway last week . Cian came a very creditable 20th in the Country at the championships , he is a son of Linda and Garda Brendan Murray Annaduff. Just as a footnote I would like to add to that I remember his grandfather Seamus Murray beating the running field at the Sports in Drumsna many moons ago.

Baby Girl.

Congratulations and best wishes to Pauline and Peter Moran Cloonavery Drumsna on the birth of their baby girl called Michelle, a little sister for Peter and another grand- child for Kathleen and Sonny Moran  Church View and for Peggy O Connor, Leitrim .

Engagement .

Congratulations are extended to Ciaran Beirne Corrick on his engagement to Laura . We wish the happy couple every good luck . We also send Ciaran’s father Paddy Beirne good wishes on his 70th birthday which he celebrated  with family and friends in the Brandywell  Dromod on Friday night last .

Registration for under age footballers.

Annaduff G.F.C. registration for under 6 ; 8 ; 10 ; 12 ; 14 ; 16 boys will take place at the club houseon Sunday next at 12 noon . All prospective players are asked to attend to meet their coaches. Registration fee of 5 Euro per child or 10 Euro per family

G.A.A./ Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the G.A.A. / Parish Lotto held in Taylor’s Drumsna on Sunday night last . The numbers drawn were 3; 15; 19 ; 20 . The winner of the 50 Euro prize was Gerry Creegan.. The winners of the 25 euro prizes are as follows,Vincie Reynolds ; Gerry O Reilly ; Hannah Clarke ; Dermot Faughnan. The next draw will be in  The Brandywell Dromod with a jackpot of 5,500 Euro.

ICA Sale Success.

The I.C.A. sale last Sunday of farm produce, home baking , toys , books etc., was a resounding success with huge crowds vying for the bargains. The proceeds are going to Haiti with volunteer Mary Reynolds whose father hails from Annaduff. I do not have the total amount to hand at the moment and will give the amount collected next week.

Drumsna Designer’s Success

Congratulations to young Drumsna Award winning Designer Ruth Duignan who is forging ahead in the world of fashion . Ruth designed one if the dresses worn by Alice Lyons at the IFTA’s last week . Some of her designs are also featured in the March Edition of Social and Personal where she is included in the showcasing of young new designers Spring and Summer Collections.Well done to Ruth who is a daughter of Geraldine and Thomas Duignan Quay Road Drumsna and continued success in her chosen career.
