Eucharistic Congress.

Congratulations to the eight people  who won the tickets to the Croke Park Mass on June 17^th at the Eucharistic Congress. Here in the Parish of Annaduff we will be celebrating the Feast of Corpus Christi with outdoor Benediction in Drumsna at 12 noon on Sunday June 10^th 2012. Father john Wall will carry the Blessed Eucharist in Procession from the Church down to the junction at Quay street where he will celebrate Benediction. Everyone is welcome .

Bingo

Bingo continues in the Centre Drumsna on Thursday night at 8.30pm.Last week’s winners included Eileen O Brien, Michael Glynn. Raffle Rose Mulvihill, Stephanie Mc Tiernan,Patricia O’ Reilly. Free Books Eamonn Reddin, Peggy O’ Rourke.

Golden age meeting

There will be Meeting of the above  in the Centre Drumsna at 11am. on to-day Wednesday March 25^th.    At 11am.There will be a practice for the Bealtaine Festival.

Free Alzheimer Training.

The Alzheimer Society are running a free training course for carers in Drumsna Community Centre commencing Monday April 23^rd and running over 5 weeks. Places are limited. Contact Majella O Donnell at 071 96 46400 or email modonnell@alzheimer.ie.

Diabetes Information Evening

The Leitrim branch of Diabetes federation of Ireland is holding a Public information evening followed by their A.G.M. in Cox’s Steak house Dromod on Thursday March 29^th at 8pm.Questions will be answered and refreshments will be served. All interested parties are welcome.

G.A.A. / Parish Lotto.

There was no winner of the G.A.A./ Parish Lotto held in Duignan’s Drumsna on Sunday night last. The numbers drawn were 1 ; 11; 15 ; 22 . The Winner of the 50 Euro was Patricia O’ Reilly. The winners of the Lucky Dip are as follows Andrew Kelly; Gerry Reynolds; Sean Og Maxwell ; Diane Mc Nabola. The next draw is in Cox’s Steak house Dromod with a jackpot of 1,600 Euro.

Drumsna C.C.E.

The fundraiser for Drumsna C.C.E. on St. Patrick’s night was a great success with many musicians, singers and dancers in attendance .The new Chairperson of The Drumsna branch , Councillor Sinead Lucian praised the efforts of the committee in the past, she also made some presentations of inscribed Leitrim Chrystal on  behalf of Drumsna C.C.E.  To  Clare Bohan, Lisdrumarea on her achievement Representing the branch at the County Fleadh and then at the Connacht fleadh where she took Gold in the fiddle Competition .Clare then went on to the all Ireland to take Bronze. To Johanna Duignan Gortinee who qualified at the County Fleadh and on to the all Ireland where she took silver in the tin Whistle. The Drumsna Committee of Comhalthas are indeed privileged to have   previous all Ireland Ballad singer Fionualla Maxwell as Treasurer and  World Champion Sean Nos dancer Edwina Guckian as  Secretary. Clare Bohan is Youth officer. Thanks is extended to all who supported the function ,to Mc Loughlin’s for hosting it ,to all those who provided refreshments and to the visiting Leprechaun whose name was correctly guessed by Patricia O’ Reilly.

Underage Training.

Annaduff underage training for boys U6 ,U8 ,U10, U12, commences in the park this Saturday March 31^st at 11am. You must have registered before you can start training.If you have not already done so you can register on the day. At 5 Euro per head. This helps towards the cost of insurance.

Children’s Disco.

There will be a children’s Easter Disco in Annaduff on Friday night March 30^th from 8pm until 10pm. Admission 3 Euro.
