Niall and Bernie’s first coffee morning for Heart Children Ireland
We would like to sincerely thank all those who so generously supported their coffee morning, cake sale and raffle on Sunday 15th of August.
To all who visited from near and far, Drumsna, Carrick, Mullingar and Dublin. We hope you all enjoyed your day.
Your personal generosity was astounding. Thanks to all who took the time to attend and to those who could not attend, but supported anyway, (especially considering the current economic climate), thank you also. For all the private donations received, far too many to mention individually, thank you.
To the various contributors of cakes, biscuits etc. Ella, Majella, Imelda . and also people who gave their time, Vivienne Daniels, Carole Ruxton and Louise Gaffney, thank you.
To Gwen Fitzgibbon for her beautiful scones, enjoyed by all.
To the various sponsors for prizes in our raffle, your help in making this, our first coffee morning for Heart Children Ireland, could not have been done without. A heartfelt thanks to all concerned:

To all the local businesses, and Father Wall who advertised the event locally, and the community centre, Drumsna, for the loan of equipment. Gartlan`s for their advertising. Drumsna Garden Centre for flowers. Mary Caslin for her beautiful hand knitted products.
Finally, upon reflection on the day, a huge success was had. You will be pleased to hear that a grand total of E1,902.78 was made, for a charity that is dear to our heart.
An organisation that helps provide vital services to Our Lady`s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, Dublin, and to the patients and families who are affected by congenital heart disease. At present approximately 100 children are awaiting surgery. We are sure that if everyone who attended the event thought hard enough, they would know someone, or some family directly affected by congenital heart disease.
It is all these children and families you have supported.
