Annual Family and Vintage Day in The Paddock 2009
The winner of Guess the Doll was Shirley O Sullivan Quay St., ,winner of the vintage scale model Thresher Declan Cox Antfield ,Winner of Guess how many sweets Martina Mc Garry Corduff. thanks to Michelle Mc Nulty and Denise Riordan for their help with these competitions.
The Glamorous granny was won by Ella Gannon Drumsna, the best dressed lady (photo above with Petra). The winners of the bonny baby competition are as follows; under 12 months 1 st Nicole Crossan, 2nd Daniel Mc Loughlin, aged 1 to 2, 1st Martha Cousins 2nd Nils Liam, 2 to 3yrs 1st Joshua Lynch. Grateful thanks is extended to the Judges of the Bonny baby Competition Aileen Deane and Martina Mc Garry. To ‘’Petra‘’ and Alan for the judging of The Best Dressed lad , to Carmel Mc Loughlin Judge of The Glamorous Granny To Sonny Moran who transported Fr. Wall in his Merc , to Jim Gannon who brought Petra and her escort Alan in his vintage car to the field and to Fred Gill and ‘’Rosie ‘’ who brought Carmel Mc Loughlin in style. Thanks is also extended to Gerry Mc Garry who was M.C. for the day and to the wonderful team of people who ran the Quay street café, to the Stewards who manned the gate, prepared the field erected the tents mowed and raked the grass, to Fintan Monaghan for the music System, To Paddy and Teresa Mc Nulty who judged the dog Show, to the trainers and parents of the two under 10 football teams from Annaduff and Dangan . (Dangan emerged winners after a good game) . To Madame X for the fortune,s to nurse Kitty who made sure the blood pressures were documented, to Ella Gannon for the butter making, Mary Caslin for the Crochet demonstration to Geraldine Monaghan and Ryan Gilroy for the boxty making, to Gerry O Reilly for the menagerie, to Frank Keane for the rope twisting, to Annaduff I.C.A. for the Craft exhibition, to The Brendan and Mathew Reynolds for crazy Golf, to John Darlington for his treasure Hunt, to Myra Reynolds for face painting, to Sian dole for the children’s corner, and last but not least, to all of our sponsors and patrons a special word of thanks without this support there wouldn’t be any field day.
The night finished off with music in Duignans and the D.D.A. draw. The Winner of the 200 Euro was Thomas Leslie , Ballinamuck ,The 100 Euro was won by Ros Webb, The Glebe, 75 Euro Rebecca Duigna
