Drumsna St Louis Connection uncovered on St Patrick’s Day 2012

Senator Daly recently met with the Honorary Consul General and discovered that the Consul General’s Gran-mother came from Drumsna. His Gran-mother, Jennie Reynolds McGlynn, left Drumsna, Co Leitrim in 1886

Mr. McGlynn is a member of the bar associations in East St. Louis, St. Louis, St. Clair County, Illinois and Missouri.and has been Honorary Consul General for the Republic of Ireland since 1978.

The Consulate in St Louis, in addition to providing information on such items as applying for Irish passports and visas, is also a source of information on Ireland and the United States and the economic, political, cultural and other links between our two countries.

Senator Daly has confirmed that Mr McGlynn has exchanged contact details and is looking forward to making contact with his Drumsna roots.
